The Raleigh Durham Labrador Retriever Club was founded in 1984 as an organization consisting of Labrador owners interested in field, obedience, conformation, agility and friendly companionship. Our meetings, which are open to the public, consist of informative programs on Labradors, fun and games, and of course, some discussion of business at hand. Our elected Board of Directors meets often in order to handle most of the business so that our meetings include minimal business discussion. Training and competition with our Labradors is an integral part of our club. We offer working certificates, canine good citizen testing and licensed specialty shows. Our membership is the best part of our club. Many of our members are charter members, while many more are very new to the club. Some members are breeders and competitors with many dogs, and many members have just one dog. We all work together to have lots of fun with our dogs. We like to have fun; our annual Picnic in July and Christmas Party are some functions you can always count on. Membership equals friendship.
